RedCrow, the equity crowdfunding company he co-founded with ex-Morgan Stanley executive Brian Smith, has leveraged the Jobs Act of 2012 to reshape the medical sector.

A small startup with not so small ambitions located just 30 minutes north of San Francisco is hard at work trying to reinvent the way early stage healthcare companies get funded without having to make the drive into San Francisco or Silicon Valley looking for capital. Instead, they want the next generation of healthcare innovation to be funded by all Americans, not just a handful of VCs. And I think they just might have the chops to do it.

When Obama signed into law the Jobs Act of 2012, he opened the door to equity crowdfunding. Crowdfunding has always been about donating to a cause, an artist or a project. The new law allowed a return on that investment. RedCrow is a company with a thoughtful platform that leverages the Jobs Act and definitely does not make crowdfunding the same as it ever was.

RedCrow, an equity investing platform focusing on opportunities in medical technology, announced a partnership with The Innovation Institute, an incubator for growing healthcare startups, to promote qualified companies within the sector.
